Although I’m not an assiduous reader, I think that the
terror readings attract me and precisely, one of the best writers of terror for
me is Stephen King. He was born in 1974 and is still active to this day. He is
an American writer who has won many awards. Some of them include thirteen Bram
Stoker Awards and the World Fantasy Award four times. His way of relating the
different stories in his works, is based much on the style of H.P. Lovecraft,
another great writer of the genre of terror. He links his characters, scenarios
and events in order to create a fictitious universe. He usually has a great
quality in the details when it comes to writing a story.
Among his books more prominent is "The Green
Mile" (1996) that earned him a Bram Stoker award. It's also one of my
favorite books. It tells a beautiful story of prisoners sentenced to death. Others
of his memorable books are “The
Shining" (1977), "It" (1986), and “Carrie" (1974), among others.
I think I should read horror books. The films of this genre that have come out lately, give me more laughter than fear. In addition, reading is an individual experience that makes you more focused. :)
