One of the
things I've enjoyed learning this semester is to develop photographs, mainly in
black and white. I feel like they have a very attractive visual aesthetic. I
think this is due to the monochromatic contrast they have.
It is
interesting the process to develop photographs. Firstly, one needs an enlarger,
which is a machine that shoots light on the photographic role. A red safelight
is required for the entire development process. This light prevents that
photographic paper is development and becomes dark. This process is used for
photos taken with analog cameras generally.
Once the photos
have been transferred from the roll to the paper, we continue with the second
stage. Here it is important to handle the development times very well. We also
have to keep in mind that we use chemicals. These can be harmful to health.
Therefore, the practice is very relevant before making a definitive
development. Even, based on my experience, it is necessary to know the enlarger
with which we work. Not all of them are the same. The result can be very
gratifying for any practitioner or photography lover.

I have not yet had the opportunity to work with the photograph but I really like the result it generates, it is very elegant and of a unique appreciation!! <3
